Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya
O Allah, in Your name I die and I live. (Said before sleep)
Morning and Evening Adhkar
The morning adhkar are said between Fajr and sunrise, the evening ones between Asr and Maghrib. If you miss the window, say them when you remember — the time is a preference, not a condition.
These are also the words for waking and for sleeping. “Alhamdulillahi alladhi ahyana” is said on opening your eyes; “Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya” is the last thing said before sleep.

أَصْبَحْنَا وَأَصْبَحَ الْمُلْكُ لِلَّهِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
Asbahna wa asbahal-mulku lillah, walhamdu lillah
We have entered the morning, and with it all sovereignty belongs to Allah. All praise is for Allah.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا
Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman nafi'an wa rizqan tayyiban wa 'amalan mutaqabbala
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdulillahi alladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilayhin-nushur
Praise be to Allah, who gave us life after death, and to Him is the return. (Said on waking)
